GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
People: Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord, or declare all his praise?
All: Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!
PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING
Hymnal #100 “Holy, Holy, Holy!”
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
who wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee
perfect in pow'r, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: The Third Commandment is:
People: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”
Leader: …But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy,
People: Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…
ASSURANCE OF GRACE
Song “Use Me”
Chorus:
Use me, Jesus use me.
Take this life of mine and use me.
Use me, Jesus use me.
Keep me by Your side and use me.
All I want is to walk with You;
To ever please You in all I do.
Teach me, Father, to learn Your ways
And walk with me each day. [Chorus]
Mold me, make me
What You would have me be.
I only want to serve You faithfully.
Help me, Father, to truly see
What You have for me. [Chorus]
PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder Bill Wood
Psalm 72: 1-8 “God, Give Your Judgments to the King”
God, give Your judgments to the king,
And give his son Your righteousness.
He to Your people right will bring,
With justice will Your poor redress.
Mountains will bring prosperity,
The hills bring peace by righteousness.
He’ll judge the poor, their young set free,
And crush the ones who have oppressed.
Long as the sun and moon are known
They’ll fear You through the ages all.
He’ll come as rain on meadows mown,
Like showers on the earth that fall.
The just will flourish in his days,
While lasts the moon will peace extend.
From sea to sea will be his reign,
And from the River to earth’s end.
GOD’S WORD READ 2 Corinthians 8:1-15
GOD’S WORD PREACHED. “Christian Economics = Generosity & Joy” by Rev Jeremiah Rivera
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
Song "The Power of the Cross”
Oh to see the dawn of the darkest day,
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men, torn and beaten then
Nailed to a cross of wood.
Chorus 1:
This the pow'r of the cross,
Christ became sin for us.
Took the blame, bore the wrath;
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh to see the pain written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev'ry bitter thought, ev'ry evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow. [Chorus]
Now the daylight flees, now the ground beneath
Quakes as its maker bows his head.
Curtain torn in two, dead are raised to life.
“Finished!” the vict'ry cry. [Chorus]
Oh to see my name written in the wounds,
For through Your suff'ring I am free.
Death is crushed to death, life is mine to live
Won through Your selfless cry.
Chorus 2:
This the pow'r of the cross,
Son of God slain for us.
What a love, what a cost;
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
Words of Institution & Warning

Hymnal #691 “It Is Well with My Soul "
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
"It is well, it is well with my soul."
Refrain:
It is well with my soul;
it is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and has shed his own blood for my soul. [Refrain]
My sin– O the bliss of this glorious thought!–
my sin, not in part, but the whole,
is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more;
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! [Refrain]
O Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll,
the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend,
"Even so"– it is well with my soul. [Refrain]
Trinity Hymnal #731 “Doxology”
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
