Welcome and Announcements
Choral Introit “There is a Redeemer”
There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God’s own Son;
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One.
Jesus, my Redeemer, name above all names;
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, O for sinners slain.
Chorus:
Thank you, O my Father, for giving us Your Son;
And leaving Your Spirit till the work on earth is done.
When I stand in glory, I will see His face,
And there I’ll serve my King forever in that holy place. [Chorus]

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING
Hymnal #92 “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”
A mighty fortress is our God,
a bulwark never failing;
our helper he amid the flood
of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe
doth seek to work us woe;
his craft and pow'r are great;
and armed with cruel hate,
on earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide,
our striving would be losing;
were not the right man on our side,
the man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is he,
Lord Sabaoth his name,
from age to age the same,
and he must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled,
should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear, for God hath willed
his truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim,
we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure,
for lo! his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.
That Word above all earthly pow'rs,
no thanks to them, abideth;
the Spirit and the gifts are ours
through him who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go,
this mortal life also;
the body they may kill:
God's truth abideth still;
his kingdom is forever.
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: The First Commandment is:
People: “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3)
Leader: But the Lord of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. (Isa 8:13)
People: Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. (Rom 12:11)
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF GRACE Isaiah 43:25
Hymnal #503 “Out of My Bondage, Sorrow, and Night”
Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
into thy freedom, gladness, and light,
Jesus, I come to thee;
out of my sickness, into thy health,
out of my want and into thy wealth,
out of my sin and into thyself,
Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
into the glorious gain of thy cross,
Jesus, I come to thee;
out of earth’s sorrows into thy balm,
out of life’s storms and into thy calm,
out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
into thy blessed will to abide,
Jesus, I come to thee;
out of myself to dwell in thy love,
out of despair into raptures above,
upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to thee.
Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
into the joy and light of thy throne,
Jesus, I come to thee;
out of the depths of ruin untold,
into the peace of thy sheltering fold,
ever thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to thee.
PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder Mike Ewing
Psalm 39: 7-13 “And Now, O Lord”
“And now, O Lord, what am I waiting for?
My expectation You have surely been.
Deliver me from all my sinfulness,
O make me not the scorn of foolish men.
I held my tongue; I opened not my mouth,
For this affliction came at Your command.
But now remove Your plague away from me;
I am consumed beneath Your chast’ning hand.
With Your rebukes You chasten man for sin;
His beauty fades beneath the touch of death.
You, like a moth, consume his precious things;
Oh, surely every man is but a breath.
LORD, hear my prayer, and heed my cry and tears;
I am Your pilgrim as my fathers were.
O turn Your gaze, let me be glad again,
Before I go away and am no more.”

GOD’S WORD PREACHED. “Paul's Résumé, Part 2” by Pastor. Joel E. Wood
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
Song "Meekness and Majesty”
Meekness and majesty,
Manhood and deity,
In perfect harmony,
The Man who is God.
Lord of eternity ,
Dwells in humanity;
Kneels in humility
And washes our feet.
Chorus:
O what a mystery,
Meekness and majesty;
Bow down and worship,
For this is your God,
This is your God.
Father's pure radiance,
Perfect in innocence;
Yet learns obedience
To death on a cross.
Suff’ring to give us life
Conqu’ring through sacrifice;
And as they crucify
Prays, “Father forgive” [Chorus]
Wisdom unsearchable,
God the invisible;
Love indestructible
In frailty appears.
Lord of infinity,
Stooping so tenderly;
Lifts our humanity
To the heights of His throne.
Chorus:
O what a mystery,
Meekness and majesty;
Bow down and worship,
For this is your God,
This is your God.
This is your God.

Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

Song “Christ, the Sure and Steady Anchor "
Christ the sure and steady anchor
In the fury of the storm,
When the winds of doubt blow through me
And my sails have all been torn.
In the suff’ring, in the sorrow,
When my sinking hopes are few,
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
While the tempest rages on,
When temptation claims the battle
And it seems the night has won.
Deeper still, then goes the anchor,
Though I justly stand accused.
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
Through the floods of unbelief.
Hopeless, somehow, O my soul, now
Lift your eyes to Calvary.
This my ballast of assurance
See His love forever proved.
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
As we face the wave of death,
When these trials give way to glory,
And we draw our final breath.
We will cross that great horizon,
Clouds behind, and life secured.
And the calm will be the better
For the storms that we endured.
Christ the shore of our salvation,
Ever faithful, ever true.
We will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
