Welcome and Announcements
Choral Introit “Easter Anthem”
The Lord is risen indeed! Hallelujah! [Repeat]
Now is Christ risen from the dead,
And become the first fruits of them that slept. [Repeat]
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
And did He rise? [Repeat]
Did He rise? Hear it ye nations! Hear it, O ye dead!
He rose, He rose, [Repeat]
He burst the bars of death, [Repeat]
He burst the bars of death and triumphed o’er the grave.
Then, then,
Then I rose, [Repeat]
Then first humanity triumphant
Passed the crystal ports of light, and seized Eternal Youth.
Man all immortal hail, hail.
Heaven all lavish of strange gifts to man,
Thine’s all the glory, man’s the boundless bliss. [Repeat]
Then, then,
Then I rose, [Repeat]
Then first humanity triumphant
Passed the crystal ports of light, and seized Eternal Youth.
Thine’s all the glory, man’s the boundless bliss. [Repeat]
Text: from the New Testament and Young’s Night Thoughts (1742-46)

Leader: He is risen!
People: He is risen indeed!
Leader: Why do you seek the living among the dead?
People: He is not here, but has risen.
Leader: Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified
People: And on the third day rise.
PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING
Hymnal #277 “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”
"Christ the Lord is ris'n today," Alleluia!
sons of men and angels say; Alleluia!
raise your joys and triumphs high; Alleluia!
Sing ye heav'ns, and earth, reply. Alleluia!
Vain the stone, the watch, the seal; Alleluia!
Christ has burst the gates of hell: Alleluia!
death in vain forbids his rise; Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise. Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King; Alleluia!
where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died, our souls to save; Alleluia!
where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
foll'wing our exalted Head; Alleluia!
made like him, like him we rise: Alleluia!
ours the cross, the grave, the skies. Alleluia!
Hail, the Lord of earth and heav'n! Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be giv'n; Alleluia!
thee we greet triumphant now; Alleluia!
hail, the Resurrection, thou! Alleluia!
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: The preface to the Ten Commandments is:
People: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” (Exodus. 20:2)
Leader: Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
People: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. (Isaiah 44:6)
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF GRACE I Corinthians 15:3-4
Song “Easter Song”
Hear the bells ringing, they're singing
That we can be born again!
Hear the bells ringing, they're singing
“Christ is risen from the dead!”
The angel up on the tombstone said
“He is risen just as He said
Quickly now, go tell His disciples
That Jesus Christ is no longer dead!”
Joy to the world!
He is risen, alleluia!
He's risen, alleluia!
He's risen, alleluia, alleluia.
Alleluia!

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder Bill Wood
Psalm 16: 1-11 “Preserve Me, O God”
Preserve me, O God, for I’m trusting in You.
“Yes, You are my Master,” I said to the LORD;
Besides You I do not possess any good.
In Your holy messengers I take delight.
Those running to idols will multiply griefs.
I will not pour out their drink off’rings of blood,
Nor will I confess their vain names with my lips.
The LORD’s my inherited portion and cup.
You care for my lot, where the lines fell to me,
My pleasant and lovely inherited land.
The LORD who gives counsel to me I will bless,
For surely my mind teaches me through the night.
The LORD ever present before me I keep.
He stands at my right hand; I shall not be moved.
My glory rejoices, my heart is made glad;
And also my flesh will live safely at ease.
For You’ll not abandon my soul to the grave,
Your Godly One You will preserve from decay.
Life’s path You will show me; full joy is with You;
Your right hand holds pleasures for me evermore.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED. “A Day Made for Rejoicing!” by Pastor Joel E. Wood
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
Hymnal #263 "Lift High the Cross”
Refrain:
Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim, till all the world adore his sacred name.
Come, brethren, follow where our Savior trod, our King victorious, Christ, the Son of God. [Refrain]
Led on their way by this triumphant sign, the hosts of God in conqu'ring ranks combine. [Refrain]
O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree, as thou hast promised, draw men unto thee. [Refrain]
Thy kingdom come, that earth's despair may cease beneath the shadow of its healing peace. [Refrain]
For thy blest cross which doth for us atone, creation's praises rise before thy throne. [Refrain]
Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

Song “Resurrection Hymn"
See, what a morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce Christ is risen!
See God's salvation plan, wrought in love,
Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?”
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty,
Honour and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow’r and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
