GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP   Psalm 106:1–3
Leader: Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
People: Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord, or declare all his praise?
All: Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING

Hymnal #295   "Crown Him With Many Crowns”
Crown him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne;
hark! how the heav'nly anthem drowns
all music but its own:
awake, my soul, and sing
of him who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.

Crown him the Lord of love;
behold his hands and side,
rich wounds, yet visible above,
in beauty glorified:
no angel in the sky
can fully bear that sight,
but downward bends his burning eye
at mysteries so bright.

Crown him the Lord of peace;
whose pow'r a scepter sways
from pole to pole, that wars may cease,
absorbed in prayer and praise:
his reign shall know no end;
and round his pierced feet
fair flow'rs of paradise extend
their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown him the Lord of years,
the Potentate of time;
Creator of the rolling spheres,
ineffably sublime:
all hail, Redeemer, hail!
for thou hast died for me:
thy praise shall never, never fail
throughout eternity.

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: The Third Commandment is:

People: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7)

Leader: …But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy,

People: Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect… (1 Peter 3:15)

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF GRACE   Isaiah 43:25

Hymnal #676   “Day by Day and with Each Passing Moment”
Day by day and with each passing moment,
strength I find to meet my trials here; trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
gives unto each day what he deems best– lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure, mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day the Lord himself is near me with a special mercy for each hour;
all my cares he fain would bear, and cheer me,
he whose name is Counselor and Pow'r. The protection of his child and treasure
is a charge that on himself he laid;
“As your days, your strength shall be in measure,”
this the pledge to me he made.

Help me then in every tribulation
so to trust your promises, O Lord,
that I lose not faith’s sweet consolation offered me within your holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
e'er to take, as from a father’s hand, one by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
till I reach the promised land.

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH   Elder Brad Tidwell
Psalm 42:1-5   "As Pants the Deer”
As pants the deer for water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
I thirst for God, the living God;
When will I see the face of God?
Tears are my food both day and night.
All day men say, “Where is your God?”

My soul’s poured out as I recall
How to God’s house I led the crowds
With joyful songs to keep the feast.
My soul, why so cast down, disturbed?
Hope now in God; I’ll praise Him still.
He is my help. He is my God

GOD’S WORD READ   2 Timothy 4:1-4
GOD’S WORD PREACHED.   “Preach the Word, Hear the Word, Feel the Word” by Pastor Joel E. Wood
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Song   “I Will Glory In My Redeemer”
I will glory in my Redeemer
Whose priceless blood has ransomed me.
Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails,
And hung Him on that judgment tree.
I will glory in my Redeemer
Who crushed the pow’r of sin and death;
My only Savior before the holy Judge;
The Lamb, Who is my righteousness,
The Lamb, Who is my righteousness.

I will glory in my Redeemer;
My life He bought, my love He owns.
I have no longings for another;
I'm satisfied in Him alone.
I will glory in my Redeemer,
His faithfulness my standing place;
Though foes are mighty and rush up on me,
My feet are firm, held by His grace,
My feet are firm ,held by His grace.

I will glory in my Redeemer
Who carries me on eagle's wings.
He crowns my life with loving kindness;
His triumph song I'll ever sing.
I will glory in my Redeemer
Who waits for me at gates of gold;
And when He calls me it will be paradise;
His face forever to behold,
His face forever to behold.

Hymnal p. 845   “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?

All:  I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
Words of Institution & Warning

People: And also with you.

Minister: Lift up your hearts;
People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God;
People: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Song   “Just As I Am”
Just as I am without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot.
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Chorus:
I come broken to be mended.
I come wounded to be healed.
I come desp’rate to be rescued.
I come empty to be filled.
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ, the Lamb.
And I'm welcomed with open arms,
Praise God, just as I am.

Just as I am I would be lost,
But mercy and grace my freedom bought.
And now to glory in Your cross,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come. [Chorus]
