This is the weekend! Dr. Richard Pratt will be preaching AM and PM, bringing us a challenge about the training of pastors internationally. Reminder: tonight’s dinner and session and tomorrow’s sermons are not for international pastors! They are for us and our understanding of this vital ministry for the future!

Right now, go to https://www.newlifelamesa.org/events/the-gray-havens to find out about the excellent concert happening Monday Night. This is our second time hosting the Gray Havens, a band that offers story-rich, indie folk-pop that blends literary imagination with Christian theology. They are excellent and we have a need for volunteers in the following areas:

  • LOAD IN SET-UP (Need 3-4): Must be able to lift heavy speakers and cases - Time Commitment: 10:00am - 11:00am (Tour manager will confirm arrival time)
  • MERCHANDISE (Need 3-4): Sell merch prior to the event, during intermission and after the event using The Gray Havens handheld POS devices. Must be capable of overseeing merchandise sales, 18+ years old and trustworthy. - Time Commitment: 5:45pm - 10:00pm
  • LOAD OUT TEAR DOWN (Need 3-4): Must be able to lift heavy speakers and cases - Time Commitment: 10:00pm - 11:00pm
  • GREEN ROOMS CLEAN UP (Need 3-4): Help clean up the rooms used by the band from the previous day - Time Commitment: Tuesday, April 14th 8:30-9:30am

Volunteering takes just an hour or two and will help facilitate a great event that welcomes their fans from all over the southwest. They work with International Justice Mission (ijm.org) to help build a future where children and families are safe from slavery and violence. A great overall way to serve Jesus and help others as we provide people-power for this event!

And if you can’t volunteer, click above and get tickets for you and a friend! You won’t regret it!

For those attending tonight’s Missions Conference, I’ll see you in a little bit. For the rest, I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

Love & blessings!

Pastor Joel
