Childrens Chorus Come and Sing a Song unto the Lord "
Come and sing a song unto the Lord,
Oh come rejoice life up your voice and sing in one accord.
Shout for joy to God who reigns on high,
Oh raise a mighty song of praise let all the earth reply.
Play the pipe and let the timbrel sound,
Come strike the harp, let cymbals crash and raise a joyful sound.
Let the earth in every corner sing,
Rejoice, give thanks unto the Lord,
our glorious God and King!
Sing hosanna unto our God and King
Sing hosanna, our joyful tidings bring!
Sing hosanna, let every voice be raised
Sing hosanna, with hymns of grateful praise!
By Dan R. Edwards
GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
People: For his steadfast love endures forever!
Leader: Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble.
All: And gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING
Hymnal #7 “From All That Dwell below the Skies”
From all that dwell below the skies
let the Creator’s praise arise;
let the Redeemer’s name be sung
through every land, by every tongue.
In every land begin the song;
to every land the strains belong.
In cheerful sound all voices raise
and fill the world with joyful praise.
Eternal are your mercies, Lord;
eternal truth attends your word.
Your praise shall sound from shore to shore
till suns shall rise and set no more.
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: What is the sum of the six commandments which contain our duty to man?
People: To love our neighbor as ourselves, and to do to others what we would have them to do to us.
Leader: Jesus said:
People: “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
ASSURANCE OF GRACE
Song “We Believe”
What is salt without its flavor?
What is light you cannot see?
What’s a ship without a rudder?
Without fruit, what is a tree?
Jesus said it’s good for nothing,
And He gave this warning call:
If we speak and then do nothing,
We do not have faith at all.
Chorus:
We believe our true salvation
Comes by grace through faith alone.
But true faith results in action,
By our deeds we make Him known.
If we spurn the poor and helpless,
Without clothes or daily bread;
Do not think this faith will save us,
Faith without good works is dead.
Abraham was counted righteous
When his sacrifice was made.
So his faith was demonstrated,
He believed and he obeyed. [Chorus]
Lord, we know that you are holy,
And that we are full of sin.
Not by works that we are doing,
Only grace restores again.
Give us faith to trust your mercy,
Give us vision when we do.
Wash us in the blood of Jesus
As we show our love for you. [Chorus]
PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder Mike Ewing
Psalm God Is Our Refuge and Our Strength”
God is our refuge and our strength,
A present help in our distress.
We will not therefore be afraid
Though all the earth should be removed,
Though mountains great be hurled
Into the ocean’s depths,
Though seas may roar and foam
And billows shake the shore,
Though mountains tremble at their power.
A river brings refreshing streams
To cheer the city of our God,
The Most High’s holy dwelling place.
God is in her; she won’t be moved;
At dawn will God help her.
The nations rage; realms quake;
He lifts His voice; earth melts.
The LORD of hosts with us!
Our fortress strong is Jacob’s God.
O come, see what the LORD has done:
He desolations brought on earth;
On earth He puts an end to wars,
Breaks bow and spear, and chariots burns.
Be still! Know I am God.
Exalted o’er all men,
Exalted o’er all earth.
The LORD of hosts with us!
Our fortress strong is Jacob’s God.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED. “One Thing Leads to Another” by Pastor Joel E. Wood
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
Hymnal #230 " Thou Who Wast Rich beyond All Splendor”
Thou who wast rich beyond all splendor,
All for love's sake becamest poor;
Thrones for a manger didst surrender,
Sapphire-paved courts for stable floor.
Thou who wast rich beyond all splendor,
All for love's sake becamest poor.
Thou who art God beyond all praising,
All for love's sake becamest man;
Stooping so low, but sinners raising,
Heav’nward by thine eternal plan.
Thou who art God beyond all praising,
All for love's sake becamest man.
Thou who art love beyond all telling,
Saviour and King, we worship thee.
Emmanuel, within us dwelling ,
Make us what thou wouldst have us be.
Thou who art love beyond all telling,
Saviour and King, we worship thee.
Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Song “Across the Lands "
You're the Word of God the Father,
From before the world began;
Ev'ry star and ev'ry planet
Has been fashioned by Your hand.
All creation holds together
By the power of Your voice:
Let the skies declare Your glory,
Let the land and seas rejoice!
Chorus:
You're the author of creation,
You're the Lord of ev'ry man;
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands.
Yet You left the gaze of angels,
Came to seek and save the lost,
And exchanged the joy of heaven
For the anguish of a cross.
With a prayer You fed the hungry,
With a word You stilled the sea.
Yet how silently You suffered
That the guilty may go free. [Chorus]
With a shout You rose victorious,
Wresting vict’ry from the grave,
And ascended into heaven
Leading captives in Your wake.
Now you stand before the Father
Interceding for Your own.
From each tribe and tongue and nation
You are leading sinners home. [Chorus]
