Pastoral intern Aaron Phillip finishes his sermon series in Jonah focusing on chapter 4:1-11. This chapter focuses on the evil within Jonah which is in contrast to the previous chapters which was focused on evil within Nineveh. In this chapter, Jonah’s response is anger in the face of God’s mercy towards Nineveh. Jonah is blind to the mercy he is receiving from God because he was overwhelmed by his anger toward those he hated. This book ends by questioning Jonah, the same question applies to us today, who is the Lord to you? We were all once like the people of Ninevah, but God has shown us mercy again and again, the Lord can save anyone!
