Pastor Joel preaches on Colossians 1:27, emphasizing God’s self-revelation and our union with Christ. God has chosen to reveal Himself to His people, both Jews and Gentiles. Apart from God revealing Himself to us as sinners, we would have no access to Him through Christ. Those to whom God has revealed Himself, upon our free, Spirit-enabled reception of Him, receive union with Christ. Our union with Christ is spiritual, but we should not understand something being “spiritual” to mean that it is not real. In fact, it is more real than perhaps anything physical that we may experience.
