Be sure to peruse this week’s New Life News, there are many opportunities, especially for prayer! The upcoming congregational meeting on May 17 (my birthday!) to elect elders and deacons, Vacation Bible School, our first (in a long time!) marriage retreat in October, Global Missions, H.O.M.E.–Keep praying! Ask the Lord to bless us as we seek to do all to his glory!
This Sunday, I will be gone to visit my Father in Florida, so Rev. Jeremiah Rivera will preach in AM worship from 2 Corinthians 8:1-15 on "Christian Economics = Generosity & Joy” with Morgan Loughlean preaching in the PM from Eph 2:11-16 on "A New Kind of People”—You won’t want to miss these brothers!
Many of you have asked about my Dad. He continues his decline, slow, but steady. He is around 100 lbs and beginning to struggle more mentally with the pain medications. He continues to trust the Lord with his days, as we all should. And, as you pray for my family, please continue to lift up the many at New Life who are facing end of life issues for themselves or their parents. God has put us all together to strengthen and encourage one another. I’m so thankful for that!
