Happy New Year!!

Thank you to so many who have reached out with concern regarding my Dad, Bob Wood. It’s been a comfort during a challenging season. As he was checked into the hospital on Sunday and the staff ran tests, they discovered he had a UTI that was causing the immediate symptoms of delirium, dehydration, etc. He has spent the week in the hospital receiving IV fluids and antibiotics, with the plan to send him home when he’s recovered enough with oral antibiotics. In fact, as I was writing this I received word from Mom that he will be going home this evening! You may remember I mentioned an issue with the pancreas. An endoscopic ultrasound has been scheduled in Orlando (Mom & Dad live in Winter Haven.) on January 13 at 4p EST. Our family is blessed by your love and prayers!

Now, as we look forward to Sunday and the coming week, I hope you’ll note that most studies, groups, and meetings are back into full swing! If you haven’t found a LIFT group to be part of, check the list, find the closest one to you, and go! You won’t regret it. I’m so thankful to the Lord for our LIFT group hosts and leaders. He has blessed us with many folks who desire to care for others!

As we begin 2026, we will review our Mission in AM worship, so this Sunday we will consider Ephesians 2:17-22 and “What It Means to Be a Gospel Community”; In PM worship we will  meditate on Colossians 1:27 and “Gospel Riches”! May the Lord bring us all closer to him as we gather together in worship and the Word!

I can’t wait to worship with you on Sunday. I hope to see each of you there!

Love & Blessings,

Pastor Joel
