After a blessed week in Florida with my Dad, I’m safely home and thankful for the privilege of serving at New Life this weekend. One piece of news that is very exciting for us is that our dear Londa has been declared cancer free! She rang the bell at her treatment center last week, and we thank God that he has granted her this healing! In more sobering news, Elder Bill Wood’s dear mother went home to be with the Lord this morning. His travel plans are not yet secured, so he may be with us on Sunday. We walk in sympathy and hope with him and his extended family, as we know we will see her one day when we are with the Lord, as she is now! Heaven grows sweeter. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!
Remember, Saturday at 11a is Marylin Hillary’s Memorial Service. She was such a dear saint. We are honored to remember God’s grace at work in her life.
Sunday, after AM Worship, we will have a brief time of update regarding the ministries of the church along with a Corporation Meeting for the purpose of electing a new Trustee. I pray you all are encouraged as you see the Lord at work in us corporately, in addition to the ways he is building us up in our individual and family lives!
Sunday AM, I will be preaching on, well, preaching, in “Preach the Word, Hear the Word, Feel the Word” from 2 Timothy 4:1-4. This is the next installment in our Mission/Vision Series for 2026, looking at “Gracious Means.” Aren’t we blessed to have the enscripturated Revelation of the Living God in our laps as we read, preach, hear, and apply it to our walk with Christ? Sunday PM, Pastoral Intern Aaron Philip will begin his next series which will be the Prophet Jonah. He will be speaking on “A Prophet Flees” from Jonah 1:1-17.
Make plans to be with us Saturday and Sunday. What joyful times we will have in God’s presence as he meets us just as he promised in his word! He is our God, even as he shapes us into his people!
Love & blessings,

Pastor Joel
