Prelude

Call to Worship: Hebrews 12:28-29

Minister: Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,  and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.
People: For our God is a consuming fire.

Trinity Hymnal #358  “For All the Saints”
For all the saints who from their labors rest,
who thee by faith before the world confessed,
thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
thou, Lord, their Captain in the well-fought fight;
thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

O may thy soldiers faithful, true, and bold,
fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,
and win with them the victor's crown of gold.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

The golden evening brightens in the west;
soon, soon to faithful warriors comes their rest;
sweet is the calm of paradise the blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

But lo! there breaks a yet more glorious day;
the saints triumphant rise in bright array;
the King of glory passes on his way.
Alleluia! Alleluia!

From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Prayer of Invocation
Reflection on the Law

Minister: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
People: This is the great and first commandment. (Matt. 22:37-38)
Minister: God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me.”
People: For although there may be so-called “gods” in heaven or on earth… yet for us there is one God. (1 Cor. 8:5-6)
Minister: You shall not make for yourself an idol.
People: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God. (2 Cor. 6:16)
Minister: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
People: Let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. (Jam. 5:12)
Minister: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
People: There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. (Heb. 4:9-10)

Confession of Sin
Assurance of Grace: 2 Corinthians 5:21

Trinity Hymnal #688 “Have Thine Own Way, Lord!”
Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter; I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after thy will,
while I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
as in thy presence humbly I bow.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Hold o'er my being absolute sway!
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me!

Prayer of the Church: Elder Mike Ewing
Psalm 33  “With Gladness in the Lord” [Tune: Trinity Hymnal #359]
With gladness in the LORD,
O let the righteous sing!
For when the upright give Him praise,
It is a fitting thing.

So give the LORD your thanks,
With harp your music raise;
And with a ten-stringed instrument,
Sing out to Him your praise.

And as you sing and play,
Your skillfulness employ.
O sing a new song unto Him;
With shouts express your joy.

For upright is the word
The LORD has given us,
And all the works that He has done
Were done in faithfulness.

For He seeks righteousness,
And all that’s just and fair;
The LORD’s love is throughout the earth,
Abundant everywhere.

Before the Throne Songbook “Amazing Love”

My Lord what love is this
That pays so dearly
That I the guilty one
May go free

Amazing love O what sacrifice
The Son of God giv’n for me
My debt He pays and my death He dies
That I might live That I might live

And so they watched Him die
Despised rejected
But oh the blood He shed
Flowed for me

Amazing love O what sacrifice
The Son of God giv’n for me
My debt He pays and my death He dies
That I might live That I might live

And now this love of Christ
Shall flow like rivers
Come wash your guilt away
Live again

Amazing love O what sacrifice
The Son of God giv’n for me
My debt He pays and my death He dies
That I might live That I might live
