GREETING &

CALL TO WORSHIP 1 Corinthians 15:54-57

Leader: I will extol you, O Lord, for you  have drawn me up and have not let my  foes rejoice over me.

People: O Lord my God, I cried to you for  help, and you have healed me. O Lord,  you have brought up my soul from Sheol.

Leader: You restored me to life from  among those who go down to the pit.

People: Sing praises to the Lord, O you  his saints.

All: And give thanks to his holy name.

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, &  BLESSING

Hymnal #53 “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of  creation!

O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health  and salvation!

All ye who hear,

now to his temple draw near,

join me in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so  wondrously reigneth,

shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently  sustaineth!

Hast thou not seen

how thy desires e'er have been

granted in what he ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy  work and defend thee!

Surely his goodness and mercy here daily  attend thee;

ponder anew

what the Almighty will do,

if with his love he befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, who with marvelous  wisdom hath made thee,

decked thee with health, and with loving  hand guided and stayed thee.

How oft in grief

hath not he brought thee relief,

spreading his wings to o'ershade thee!

Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me  adore him!

All that hath life and breath, come now with  praises before him!

Let the amen

sound from his people again;

gladly fore'er we adore him.

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW

from Exodus 20:1-17 & N.T. corollaries, ESV

Leader: Honor your father and your

mother.

People: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Eph. 6:1)

Leader: You shall not murder.

People: Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 Jn. 3:15)

Leader: You shall not commit adultery. People: Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Mt. 5:28)

Leader: You shall not steal.

People: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Do your work quietly and earn your own living. (2 Th. 3:10,12)

Leader: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

People: Having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor. (Eph. 4:25)

Leader: You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.

People: For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your

neighbor as yourself." (Gal. 5:14)

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF GRACE Colossians 2:13-14 Song “Search My Heart”

Search my heart,

Look deep within my soul;

See if there be anything at all

That might keep me from hearing You, Keep me from knowing You,

Keep me from loving You, dear Lord.

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder D. Abbott

Psalm 135:12 “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord’s  Name”

Hallelujah! Praise the LORD’s name! Praise Him, servants of the LORD,

You that in the LORD’s house serve Him, In God’s courtyard standing guard.

Praise the LORD! How good the LORD is! Sing His name—how sweet its tone! For the LORD has chosen Jacob,

Israel to be His own.

For I know how great the LORD is;

Our Lord is above all gods.

Yes, the LORD does what He pleases In the skies, earth, seas, and floods.

He it is who lifts the vapors

From the ends of earth and sea,

Who with lightning brings the rain down, From His store the wind sets free.

He killed all of Egypt’s firstborn;

Egypt, He sent signs to you,

Signs to Pharaoh and his servants.

He struck nations, kings He slew;

Mighty Sihon, Og of Bashan—

All of Canaan’s kingdoms fell!

He their land gave to His people,

Willed it all to Israel.

GOD’S WORD READ Acts 15:41-16:5

GOD’S WORD PREACHED “A Mission of  Encouragement” by Pastor Joel E. Wood

Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts,  as we also have forgiven our debtors. And  lead us not into temptation, but deliver us  from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the  power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Hymnal #520 “Jesus, Thy Blood and  Righteousness”

Jesus, thy blood and righteousness

my beauty are, my glorious dress;

'midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed, with joy shall I lift up my head.

Bold shall I stand in thy great day;

for who aught to my charge shall lay? fully absolved through these I am

from sin and fear, from guilt and shame.

When from the dust of death I rise

to claim my mansion in the skies,

ev'n then this shall be all my plea,

Jesus hath lived, hath died, for me.

Jesus, be endless praise to thee,

whose boundless mercy hath for me - for me a full atonement made,

an everlasting ransom paid.

O let the dead now hear thy voice;

now bid thy banished ones rejoice;

their beauty this, their glorious dress, Jesus, thy blood and righteousness.

Now therefore, O LORD,

let your word be confirmed…”

Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”

Minister: Christian, what do you believe?

All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic  church, the communion of saints, the  forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the  body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

WORDS OF INSTITUTION & WARNING

Minister: The Lord be with you;

People: And also with you.

Minister: Lift up your hearts;

People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our  God;

People: It is right to give him thanks and  praise.

Song “Christus Victor”

O Most High, King of the ages,

Great I AM, God of wonders,

By the blood, You have redeemed us, Led us through mighty waters,

Our strength, our song, our sure salvation.

Now to the Lamb upon the throne, Be blessing, honor, glory, power, For the battle You have won.

Hallelujah! Amen.

O Most High, dwelling among us, Son of man, sent for sinners,

By Your blood, You have redeemed us, Spotless Lamb, mighty Savior

Who lived, who died, who rose victorious.

Chorus:

Now to the Lamb upon the throne, Be blessing, honor, glory, power For the battle You have won.

Hallelujah!

With ev’ry tribe and ev’ry tongue, We join the anthem of the angels In the triumph of the Son.

Hallelujah! Amen.

O Most High, King of the nations, Robed in praise, crowned with splendor, On that day, who will not tremble When You stand Christ the Victor, Who was and is and is forever. [Chorus]

Amen, amen, amen,

Amen, amen, amen,

Amen, amen, amen. [Chorus]

Sing the vict’ry of the Lamb.

Hallelujah! Amen. Amen.
