Reflection on God’s Law

Minister: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
People: This is the great and first commandment. (Matt. 22:37-38)
Minister: God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me."
People: For although there may be so-called "gods" in heaven or on earth… yet for us there is one God. (1 Cor. 8:5-6)

Minister: Christian, what do you believe? 
All:  I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. 

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
