Welcome and Announcements

GREETING &

CALL TO WORSHIP Romans 11:33-36

Leader: Oh, the depth of the riches and  wisdom and knowledge of God! How  unsearchable are his judgments and how  inscrutable his ways!

People: “For who has known the mind  of the Lord, or who has been his  counselor?”

Leader: “Or who has given a gift to him  that he might be repaid?”

People: For from him and through him  and to him are all things.

All: To him be glory forever. Amen.

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, &  BLESSING

Hymnal #535. “O, the Deep, Deep Love of  Jesus!”

O the deep, deep love of Jesus!

Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free; rolling as a mighty ocean

in its fullness over me.

Underneath me, all around me,

is the current of thy love;

leading onward, leading homeward, to thy glorious rest above.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus!

Spread his praise from shore to shore; how he loveth, ever loveth,

changeth never, nevermore;

how he watches o'er his loved ones, died to call them all his own;

how for them he intercedeth,

watcheth o'er them from the throne.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus!

Love of ev'ry love the best:

'tis an ocean vast of blessing,

'tis a haven sweet of rest.

O the deep, deep love of Jesus!

'Tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me;

and it lifts me up to glory,

for it lifts me up to thee.

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW

from Exodus 20:1-17 & N.T. corollaries, ESV

Leader: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

People: This is the great and first commandment. (Matt. 22: 37-38)

Leader: God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the Lord your God.

You shall have no other gods before me." People: For although there may be so called "gods" in heaven or on earth… yet for us there is one God. (1 Cor. 8:5-6)

Leader: You shall not make for yourself an idol.

People: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God. (2 Cor. 6:16)

Leader: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

People: Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. (Jam. 5:12)

Leader: Remember the Sabbath day, to

keep it holy.

People: There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. (Heb. 4:9-10)

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF GRACE Ezekiel 36:26-27

Hymnal #644 “May the Mind of Christ My  Savior”

May the mind of Christ my Savior

live in me from day to day,

by his love and pow'r controlling

all I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly

in my heart from hour to hour,

so that all may see I triumph

only through his pow'r.

May the peace of God my Father

rule my life in everything,

that I may be calm to comfort

sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me

as the waters fill the sea;

him exalting, self abasing,

this is victory.

May his beauty rest upon me

as I seek the lost to win,

and may they forget the channel,

seeing only him.

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Pastor M.  Connor Underseth

Psalm 116:1-8 “I Love the Lord”

I love the LORD because He hears my  pleading.

He’s heeded me; through life I’ll call on  Him.

Bound by the ropes of death and Sheol’s  terrors;

In deep distress I grief and trouble found. Then on the LORD’s name in prayer I  called:

“O LORD, I pray to You, deliver my soul!”

Our God, the LORD, is merciful and  righteous;

Gracious, the LORD preserves the simple  ones.

When I was low, to me He gave salvation. Turn back again, my soul, and be at rest; Rest, for the LORD has dealt well with you.

My helpless soul You have delivered from  death.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED “Seeking God” by Pastor Joel E. Wood

Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer

All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts,  as we also have forgiven our debtors. And  lead us not into temptation, but deliver us  from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the  power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Hymnal #425 “Bread of the World in Mercy  Broken”

Bread of the world in mercy broken, wine of the soul in mercy shed,

by whom the words of life were spoken, and in whose death our sins are dead.

Look on the heart by sorrow broken, look on the tears by sinners shed;

and be thy feast to us the token

that by thy grace our souls are fed.

Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”

Minister: Christian, what do you believe?

All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic  church, the communion of saints, the  forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the  body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

WORDS OF INSTITUTION & WARNING

Minister: The Lord be with you;

People: And also with you.

Minister: Lift up your hearts;

People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our  God;

People: It is right to give him thanks and  praise.

COMMUNION PRAYER

Approach the Table for the Lord’s Supper Prayer of Thanksgiving

Song “Speak O Lord

Speak, O Lord, as we come to You

To receive the food of Your holy word.  Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;  Shape and fashion us in Your likeness,  That the light of Christ might be seen today  In our acts of love and our deeds of faith.  Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us

All Your purposes, for Your glory

Teach us Lord full obedience,

Holy reverence, true humility.

Test our thoughts and our attitudes  In the radiance of Your purity.

Cause our faith to rise, cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority.

Words of power that can never fail;

Let their truth prevail over unbelief.

Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds; Help us grasp the heights of Your plans  for us.

Truths unchanged from the dawn of time, That will echo down through eternity. And by grace we'll stand on Your promises; And by faith we'll walk as You walk with us. Speak, O Lord, till Your church is built And the earth is filled with Your glory.

Hymnal #731: “Doxology”

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below: Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host, Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost:
