GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

People: And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Leader: He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

People: Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Leader: And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. People: Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart

People: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Do your work quietly and earn your own living

Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer

All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Minister: Christian, what do you believe?

All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
