GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP   Isaiah 12:3-6

Leader: With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day:
People: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.”

Leader: “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.”
People: “Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion”

All: “For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING

Hymnal #580  “Lead On, O King Eternal"
Lead on, O King eternal,
the day of march has come;
henceforth in fields of conquest
thy tents shall be our home:
through days of preparation
thy grace has made us strong,
and now, O King eternal,
we lift our battle song.

Lead on, O King eternal,
till sin's fierce war shall cease,
and holiness shall whisper
the sweet amen of peace;
for not with swords loud clashing,
nor roll of stirring drums,
but deeds of love and mercy,
the heav'nly kingdom comes.
Lead on, O King eternal,

we follow, not with fears;
for gladness breaks like morning
where'er thy face appears;
thy cross is lifted o'er us;
we journey in its light:
the crown awaits the conquest;
lead on, O God of might.

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW from Exodus 20:1-17 & N.T. corollaries, ESV

Leader: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
People: This is the great and first commandment. (Matt. 22: 37-38)

Leader: God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me."
People: For although there may be so-called "gods" in heaven or on earth… yet for us there is one God. (1 Cor. 8:5-6)

Leader: You shall not make for yourself an idol.
People: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God. (2 Cor. 6:16)

Leader: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
People: Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. (Jam. 5:12)

Leader:  Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
People: There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. (Heb. 4:9-10)

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF GRACE   Galatians 2:20

Hymnal #335  “Gracious Spirit, Dwell with Me”
Gracious Spirit, dwell with me:
I myself would gracious be;
and with words that help and heal
would thy life in mine reveal;
and with actions bold and meek
would for Christ my Savior speak.

Truthful Spirit, dwell with me:
I myself would truthful be;
and with wisdom kind and clear
let Thy life in mine appear;
and with actions brotherly
speak my Lord’s sincerity.

Mighty Spirit, dwell with me:
I myself would mighty be;
mighty so as to prevail
where unaided man must fail;
ever by a mighty hope,
pressing on and bearing up.

Holy Spirit, dwell with me:
I myself would holy be;
separate from sin, I would
choose and cherish all things good,
and whatever I can be,
give to him who gave me thee!

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH  Elder Mike Ewing

Psalm 30:1-12  “O Lord, I Will Exalt You”
O LORD, I will exalt You,
For You have lifted me;
My foes You kept from boasting,
Denied them victory.
O LORD, my God, I pleaded
That You might heal and save;
LORD, You from death have ransomed,
And kept me from the grave.

Sing praises, O you godly,
Who to the LORD belong;
And to His name most holy
Show gratitude in song.
His anger lasts a moment,
His grace through life goes on;
Though through the night tears linger,
Great joy comes with the dawn.

When prosp’rous, I once boasted,
“Unmoved I shall remain.”
But You, LORD, by Your favor
My mountain’s strength maintain;
For when Your face was hidden,
I then became dismayed.
O LORD, to You I cried out,
And to the Lord I prayed:

“O where is the advantage
If my blood should be shed?
Will dust declare You faithful,
Can praise come from the dead?
O LORD, to me be gracious,
And hear me as I’ve prayed.
To You, O LORD, I cry out
O be my help, my aid.”

You turned my grief to dancing,
From sackcloth set me free.
You wrapped me up in gladness;
I shall not silent be.
Indeed, my soul, my glory,
Will praise You and adore;
O LORD, my God, I’ll thank You,
Both now and evermore.

GOD’S WORD READ Acts 17:32-18:4

GOD’S WORD PREACHED.
“Two Divine Illustrations for Our Evangelistic Encouragement” by Pastor Joel E. Wood

Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer

All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Songbook #46.  “Ineffable Exchange”
The innocent one is condemned,
And the criminal is acquitted;
The blessed is cursed
And the cursed is blessed;
The Life dies,
And the dead lives;
The Glory is covered with shame,
And he who was put to shame is covered with glory.

Hymnal p. 845  “Apostles’ Creed”

Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All:  I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

WORDS OF INSTITUTION & WARNING

Minister: The Lord be with you;
People: And also with you.

Minister: Lift up your hearts;
People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God;
People: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

COMMUNION PRAYER

Approach the Table for the Lord’s Supper

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Song “Across the Lands”
You're the Word of God the Father
From before the world began;
Ev'ry star and ev'ry planet
Has been fashioned by Your hand.
All creation holds together
By the power of Your voice.
Let the skies declare Your glory;
Let the land and seas rejoice.

Chorus:
You're the author of creation.
You're the Lord of ev'ry man,
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands.

Yet You left the gaze of angels,
Came to seek and save the lost
And exchanged the joy of Heaven
For the anguish of a cross.
With a prayer You fed the hungry,
With a word You calmed the sea;
Yet how silently You suffered;
That the guilty may go free. [Chorus]

With a shout You rose victorious
Wresting vict’ry from the grave,
And ascended into Heaven
Leading captives in Your way.
Now you stand before the Father,
Interceding for Your own;
From each tribe and tongue and nation
You are leading sinners home. [Chorus]

Trinity Hymnal #731  “Doxology”
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below:
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost:
