Choral Introit. “Lord, I Lift My Eyes to You”
Lord, I lift my eyes to you, you who gave me sight,
So that I could see your illumining, beautiful and bright.
Lord, I lift my voice to you, with a prayerful song,
And with gratitude give my praise to you, my immortal God.
Chorus:
Lord, I lift my eyes to you
And praise you for your works and wonders shown to me.
Gloria! Hallelujah!
I forever will proclaim your might and majesty!
You are comfort to all who mourn; you defend the weak.
You deliver the captive poor; you exalt the meek!
Lord, I lift my hands to you, you who lifted me
High above my shame and my mortal pain, my captivity.
Lord, I lift my eyes to you, and to you alone.
All your works are great and in every way lovely to behold. [Chorus]

GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 5:7-8, 11
Leader: But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house.
People: I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.
Leader: Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.
People: But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy.
Hymnal #310 "Rejoice, the Lord Is King"
Rejoice, the Lord is King:
your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks, and sing,
and triumph evermore.
Refrain:
Lift up your heart, lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
Jesus the Savior reigns,
the God of truth and love;
when he had purged our stains,
he took his seat above. [Refrain]
His kingdom cannot fail,
he rules o'er earth and heav'n;
the keys of death and hell
are to our Jesus giv'n. [Refrain]
He sits at God's right hand
till all his foes submit,
and bow to his command,
and fall beneath his feet. [Refrain]
Rejoice in glorious hope!
Our Lord, the Judge, shall come,
and take his servants up
to their eternal home. [Refrain]
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW from Exodus 20:1-17 & N.T. corollaries, ESV

Leader: You shall not murder.
People: Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 Jn. 3:15)
Leader: You shall not commit adultery.
People: Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Mt. 5:28)
Leader: You shall not steal.
People: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Do your work quietly and earn your own living. (2 Th. 3:10,12)
Leader: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
People: Having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor. (Eph. 4:25)
Leader: You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.
People: For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Gal. 5:14)
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF GRACE Romans 5:1
Song “Christ, the Sure and Steady Anchor”
Christ the sure and steady anchor
In the fury of the storm,
When the winds of doubt blow through me
And my sails have all been torn.
In the suff’ring, in the sorrow,
When my sinking hopes are few,
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
While the tempest rages on,
When temptation claims the battle
And it seems the night has won.
Deeper still, then goes the anchor
Though I justly stand accused.
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
Through the floods of unbelief.
Hopeless, somehow, O my soul now,
Lift your eyes to Calvary.
This my ballast of assurance –
See His love forever proved.
I will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.
Christ the sure and steady anchor
As we face the wave of death,
When these trials give way to glory,
And we draw our final breath.
We will cross that great horizon,
Clouds behind, and life secured.
And the calm will be the better
For the storms that we endured.
Christ the shore of our salvation,
Ever faithful, ever true.
We will hold fast to the anchor;
It shall never be removed.

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder Brad Tidwell
Psalm 1:1-6 "That Man Is Blessed”
That man is blessed who does not walk
As wicked men advise,
Nor stand where sinners meet, nor sit
Where scorners pose as wise.
Instead he is the one who makes
The LORD’s law his delight,
And in that law he meditates
By day and in the night.
He’s like a deeply planted tree
Beside a water stream,
Which in its season bears its fruit,
Whose leaves stay fresh and green.
In all he does he will succeed.
The wicked are not so,
But they are like the scattered chaff
Swept by the winds that blow.
The wicked therefore will not stand
When time of judgment comes,
Nor will the sinners stand among
Assembled righteous ones.
Because the LORD the righteous loves;
The path they walk He knows.
The wicked walk a different path,
That to destruction goes.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED. “Black-Eyed Sceva” by Pastor Joel E. Wood
Prayer Of Application & The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
Hymnal #146 “Break Thou the Bread of Life”
Break thou the bread of life, dear Lord, to me,
as thou didst break the loaves beside the sea;
throughout the sacred page I seek thee, Lord,
my spirit pants for thee, O living Word.
Bless thou the truth, dear Lord, to me, to me,
as thou didst bless the bread by Galilee;
then shall all bondage cease, all fetters fall;
and I shall find my peace, my All in all.
Thou art the Bread of Life, O Lord, to me,
thy holy Word the truth that saveth me;
give me to eat and live with thee above;
teach me to love thy truth, for thou art love.
O send thy Spirit, Lord, now unto me,
that he may touch mine eyes and make me see:
show me the truth concealed within thy Word,
and in thy Book revealed I see the Lord.
Hymnal p. 845 “Apostles’ Creed”
Minister: Christian, what do you believe?
All: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION & WARNING
Minister: The Lord be with you;
People: And also with you.
Minister: Lift up your hearts;
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God;
People: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Song. “My Savior’s Love”
When my vision clouds with fear Jesus’ love will draw me near
With His love to hold me fast doubts and fears can never last
Bound for hell no more am I; loved in Christ, I’ll never die
He who would not break a reed gave Himself to meet my need
God’s own Son has died for me, paid my ransom; now I’m free
Love of Jesus, ever sure, made me clean; in Him I am pure
Not my power nor my love turned my gaze to Him above
Only Jesus ended strife; ‘twas His love that gave me life
Death no more can threaten me; all my righteousness is He
Love has opened heaven’s door: life in Him forever more
Filled with love, no room for fear; joy in heaven always near
With these eyes His face I’ll see; ever bless-ed I will be
