Consider – Blessing, the presence of God and his promises for abundance and dominion, is communicated through the spoken word. The transference of blessing must be spoken with faith, trusting God’s empowerment. With his benediction, Aaron, God’s priest, blesses the people to multiply as God’s chosen and to subdue the land (Lev. 9:22). Later, Christ, at the ascension, extends his hands in blessing upon the church enabling her to reproduce and fill the earth (Lk. 24:50-51) (Bruce Waltke)
