Brian Tallman • Pastor
Brian Tallman has been at New Life since 2002. He came to us while in seminary and served our church as an intern and later as the Assistant to the Senior Pastor. In 2005 he accepted the call to become our church’s third pastor.
Prior to his time at New Life Brian served as director of the College Ministry at Jamul Community Church and as the Pastor of Lincoln Acres Community Church in National City.
He is a graduate of Southern California Bible College and Bethel Seminary. He has also studied at The Master’s Seminary (2000-2001) and Westminster Seminary in California.
It was during his time in Bible College that Brian was introduced to the riches of the Reformed faith by our Missionary to Uganda, Rev. David Okken. From that time he has been on the journey of learning how to apply the Scripture more faithfully and has come to love and cherish and proclaim the doctrinal truths presented in the ecumenical creeds and the Westminster Standards.
Brian is married to Andria, a graduate of Christian Heritage College (B.A. Biblical Studies, 2003) and Westminster Seminary in California (M.A. 2005) and is father of Trinity, Eden, and Karsten.
In his spare time he loves to read, hang out with his wife and children and is always pursing the ever elusive 70's on the golf course.

Allison Dossett • Administrative Assistant
Our Administrative Assistant, Allison Dossett, is a second generation native San Diegan and grew up attending a congregational church. She has been at New Life since 1981 and has worked as a support to the pastor and congregation for 12 years. Allison and her husband Jim live in La Mesa and two grown sons and a teenage daugther.
Jon Verdick • Facilities Manager
Jon Verdick was raised in a Reformed Presbyterian church in Los Angeles. He is married with children in college. Jon spends his free time working in his tropical fruit orchard. Among his favorite plants are fig and banana trees.
