New Life Presbyterian Church of La Mesa

Born in 1509, 2009 marks the 500^th anniversary of John Calvin's birth.   It has been suggested that Calvin is the single most important founding theologian of the Reformed tradition.  Friends and foes alike have recognized his genius, theological acumen and historical impact.  Interestingly enough, whether sympathetic to his theology or stridently opposed, few today have actually taken the time to read the Institutes.  In 2009 we will do just that.   We will read the Institutes during the month and then gather on the second Saturday of every month to go over the material.  Meets the second Saturday of the month from 8:30-10:00 in Room 204 upstairs.
