Servant Church of San Diego https://www.servantchurchsd.org/
Servant Church of San Diego is a mission work of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) with a vision to have every person, family, and neighborhood in Greater Logan Heights hear the saving gospel of Jesus Christ and experience His transforming grace. Greater Logan Heights became one the city’s most racially segregated, economically depressed, and criminally exploited urban areas for most of the last century due to discriminatory housing and business laws. In recent years, however, the community has begun experiencing renewal and redevelopment, attracting a younger generation of new-comers in search of urban housing, cultural diversity, and business opportunities.
Greater Logan Heights was severely impacted by the flooding in January 2024. The Servant Church is responding to the needs of their community, one of the worst hit in SD, join them to:

FLOOD VICTIMS Assistance: from our ministry partner, Hope for San Diego - Susie Fiske, Executive Director: "I learned today from our affiliates that some of the families they serve—many of whom already live in dire poverty—were ravaged by flooding. With water rising three to four feet up their walls, all of their possessions were destroyed. Some were evicted immediately by unscrupulous landlords. Those who were able to stay are living without refrigerators or kitchens, let alone clothing or shoes. Hope for San Diego is coming alongside our affiliates to support these neighbors with their immediate, urgent needs. Many will receive FEMA assistance, but that takes months to arrive. We will help fill in the gaps so that our neighbors can recover with the basic essentials they need to continue with work and school. I am so grateful for this community of people who see these disasters with God's eyes of care, concern, and compassion. Some of you have asked how you can help, so we are creating a fund specifically for emergency flood relief over the next few weeks and we will be communicating about volunteer opportunities as we learn of specific needs. To give, go to our website hopeforsd.org, include "flood relief" in the note for your donation.“
